Opened in 1946, Casa Rio is the oldest restaurant on the River Walk and was modeled after the very first true Tex-Mex restaurant in the entire country. They carry on the tradition of serving the “Regular Plate” which consists of a cheese enchilada, Mexican rice, refried beans, a tamale, and their famous Chili con Carne. This was created as a sampler plate so visitors could try a little bit of everything. Next time your group visits the San Antonio River Walk, don’t miss out on this unique dining experience, underneath the famous, colorful umbrellas!
