Located on San Antonio's near east side, in the historic St. Paul Square, 1902 bridges the city's rich history with modern aesthetics and service. The station design is Spanish Mission Revival style, featuring broad, unadorned stucco walls, an arcade and low-pitched clay tile roofs. In the building’s north end, a 16-ft window fills the hall’s grand staircase and vaulted ceilings with light. Great care was taken to preserve the pristine architecture of the facility, rehabilitate many of its worn structures, and create a space that redefines venues. For more information on the space, including the nightclub, booking a private event, and more, please visit www.1902satx.com.

The pub opened September 11, 1974. Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub is a replica of the original Durty Nelly’s in Ireland, dating back to 1620, as part of the Bunratty Castle in Limerick, Clare Country. It's been part of the landscape at Bunratty for almost 400 years, and today continues to be the "favourite ‘watering hole’ of both locals and visitors alike." The concept of the San Antonio location came from Bill Hunter, general manager of Hilton Palacio del Rio in the 1970’s. After visiting the bar in Ireland, he returned to the Alamo City to convince Bartell Zachry (previous CEO of Zachry Construction Company and builder/owner of Hilton Palacio del Rio) to build an identical pub on a seldom used corner of the hotel. The pub is designed in the tradition of the European style with two fireplaces, slate floors and stone walls, and from the time its doors first opened to present day, this corner is a hot spot on the San Antonio River Walk.

SINCE 1981 Jorge Cortez traveled Mexico, exploring Monterrey, Laredo and Guadalajara in search of unique and different cuisine to bring to San Antonio. Coming upon a regional specialty that was once only familiar to vaqueros, butchers and their families, Jorge thought a dish of sizzling skirt-steak served on cast-iron plates would be popular. In 1981, Jorge created and opened La Margarita Restaurant & Oyster Bar, offering Sizzling Fajitas and Seafood.

Starting as a saloon in Beeville, TX in the late 1800s, the Schilo family moved to the big booming city of San Antonio in 1914. In 1917, Mama Schilo started serving some of her famous recipes like split pea soup, potato pancakes, homemade meatloaf, the list goes on… We believe this was in anticipation of prohibition which arrived a few short years later. Due to their innovation and foresight, they were able to successfully shift from being a strict saloon to a reputable restaurant in a few short years. Adding a homemade root beer helped get them through those dry years and their unwavering German work ethic helped them stay in business through hard times like the Great Depression and World War II. Walking through the front doors of the restaurant that was originally constructed as a currency exchange bank, is like walking back in time. Which is why it is certain to be on any local’s “must-do” list. And, fortunately real beer has been back on the menu for a long time!

Later, it became the home of the Spanish governors who lived in San Antonio. Today, the only building that still stands of the Presidio San Antonio Bexar is the Spanish Governor’s Palace. It is one of the oldest residential buildings still standing in Texas. The building is a long one-story, U-shaped stone structure covered in stucco that surrounds a traditional Spanish patio and courtyard.
