MBAW brings high-caliber artistic content from around the world to San Antonio free to the general public as well as underserved populations, fostering the city’s reputation as a cosmopolitan cultural center. Works are often commissioned by MBAW for world premieres and artists frequently return San Antonio after experiencing its rich heritage and increasingly diverse cultural make-up.
