The Charline McCombs Empire Theatre, a historic live performance venue, was built in 1913 on the site of the former Rische’s Opera House, and after a slow decline, was closed in 1978. The City later purchased and redeveloped the Empire Theatre, along with neighboring Majestic Theatre, and reopened its doors (and curtains!) for a wide variety of programming including intimate musical concerts, comedy attractions, children’s theater, and private events. Today, the Empire boasts 856 seats, a flexible seating system on the main floor, and adjustable platforms for both banquet and cabaret table seating options. Create a unique event for your group on the Empire stage.
