National Museum of the Pacific War Presents Symposium 2021: Diversity in WWII

The National Museum of the Pacific War (NMPW) and Admiral Nimitz Foundation (ANF) present this year’s 34th Annual Symposium, “A Catalyst for Change: Diversity in World War II. As a part of NMPW and ANF’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community, the symposium will explore the range of groups that played a role during the war in the Pacific along with their journey overcoming adversity abroad and at home.
The virtual event will be Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, 2021. Speakers include Dr. Matthew Delmont, Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professor of History, Dartmouth College; Dr. Brain Hayashi, Professor, Department of History, Kent State University; Dr. Maggie Rivas-Rodriquez, Professor of School of Journalism and Media University of Texas at Austin; and Ms. Alexandra Harris, Senior Editor of the National Museum of the American Indian. Noted WWII expert, Craig Symonds, will moderate.
