Because San Antonio has so many places to eat near the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, offering everything from juicy steaks to spicy Tex-Mex cuisine, meeting planners often ask if restaurants offer such discounts to attendees.

Discounts Made Easy

Not long ago, individual restaurants contacted meeting professionals to offer discount cards, or hotel concierges would distribute discount cards. But there was no sure way to reach all attendees, all hotels or include every establishment offering deals.

So we asked downtown establishments – all within a short walk or brief streetcar ride to the convention center – to join us in creating a unified discount program that showcases San Antonio as a prudent, value-driven destination. This is just one more way for us to uphold our In the Heart Meetings promise to help you achieve all of your meeting goals.

We chose Show Us Your Badge as the name because it’s a call to action and promotes conferences. 

Just Present Your Conference Badge

Show Us Your Badge discounts are available to any group issuing an identification badge that includes the attendee's name and name of the conference.

We encourage attendees to take their badges with them as they venture out. Getting discounts is easy at participating restaurants and nightlife spots that display the Show Us Your Badge logo:

1. Simply present an official conference badge, either upon entering or when ordering.
    
2. Receive the respective discounts offered by restaurants and nightlife establishments.

TIP: Don’t toss those badges before going back to the airport, as retailers and restaurants at San Antonio International Airport also offer a 10 percent discount.
