San Antonio opens satellite office in Chicago

The San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau opened a satellite office in Chicago in March. This is part of the city’s “In the Heart Meetings” pledge targeting ways to foster a more productive meeting experience. With the new office, San Antonio provides increased visibility to this key region.

Bringing “In the Heart Meetings” to Chicago is National Convention Sales Manager Amy Brown, CMP. Amy is responsible for coordinating group sales efforts with major trade associations and corporations based in the Chicago market area.

“For the past three years, Amy has done an outstanding job bringing the SACVB and Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center to the Chicago market," notes Steve Clanton, Vice President of Sales & Services for the SACVB. "By relocating her offices to Chicago, she is closer to her customer base and ensures that San Antonio is well represented at Chicago area industry events. Amy also coordinates the customer events that San Antonio hosts annually in Chicago.”

The new Chicago office is just one more way that San Antonio is seeking to meet the needs of its customers.
