SACVB Executive Director Receives National Award
Casandra Matej, Executive Director, San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau (SACVB), received the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA)’s Executive Excellence Award at their recent national meeting.
Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Set to Expand
The Henry B. González Convention Center is undergoing a $325 million expansion, increasing contiguous exhibit space to over 510,000 square feet. The expansion will also include a new 54,000+ square foot ballroom, the largest in the state of Texas. The HBGCC will remain open throughout construction. Once new construction is completed in 2016, the oldest portion of the convention center, on the west side of the complex, will be demolished for the 12-acre redevelopment of the adjacent park, Hemisfair.
