SACVB Shows Appreciation with Annual Tamale Lift
Shredded pork rolled in masa and wrapped in a corn husk is the traditional San Antonio tamale and a staple in our city at the holidays. To share the joy, the Annual Tamale Lift took place on December 9, with 16 groups of representatives from the SACVB and Team Texas (our hotel and industry partners) delivering 15,000 tamales to 180 association and corporate clients in Austin.
SACVB Convention Sales Manager John Vlieger, CMP, heads up the Tamale Lift, and said when clients learn the date of the annual event, they often plan their holiday parties around it. "It's a fun and festive way for us to show our appreciation while spreading Christmas cheer," he said.
