Corporate Social Responsibility

If your attendees want to support a great cause between meetings – or you want to provide a truly worthwhile team-building experience – you’ve come to the right place. San Antonio rolls out the red carpet for volunteer groups, with many local charities welcoming everyone from animal lovers to tutors.

Here are just a few of the charitable causes attendees can donate their time and energy to, gaining a feeling like no other in return:

•    Interact with furry friends at Animal Care Services, where you can walk, groom or simply socialize with pets, or help clean out their housing areas.

•    Tutor or mentor children at the Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio, which also needs volunteers who can teach skills like photography and sewing.

•    Join the fight against hunger by helping inspect, sort, shelve and distribute food for the San Antonio Food Bank.

•    Pick up a shift at the Battered Women & Children’s Shelter’s donation center or boutique.

•    Help in the office or warehouse of the city’s Haven for Hope program, providing social services – from a child-care center to a credit union – to help meet the needs of San Antonio’s homeless community.

"The city of San Antonio is like visiting your favorite relatives. Everyone we worked with from the CVB and hotels to the cashier in the mall gift shop are so welcoming and accommodating. The San Antonio CVB really made us feel like we were the most important group in town. It was like they give us a great big hug when we arrived!" - Nicole Sutter, CMP, CEM
