Conventions & Tradeshows

Convenient, Spacious, Unique Facilities

San Antonio is the ideal location for your convention or trade show. Just 10 miles from San Antonio International Airport, the 630,000-square-foot Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in the heart of downtown has more than 438,000 contiguous square feet of exhibit space, state-of-the-art technology and a river literally running through it. Right on the River Walk, the Convention Center is within easy walking distance from area hotels, restaurants and attractions.

The Alamodome, just a short walk from the Convention Center, has column-free architecture with seating for 65,000 and 160,000 gross square feet of event and exhibit space.

For citywide conferences, San Antonio has dozens of hotels within close proximity of both facilities – as well as additional meeting and event venues – so no one in your group has far to travel.

To assist in planning your meeting, the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau has an exceptional Sales and Services Staff ready to make your trade show a success.

Testimonial
"Convenience is important to people planning a meeting and to those attending a meeting. San Antonio is a wonderful city for convention attendees and meeting planners alike. Everything a convention attendee needs is within walking distance. The hotels are close to the Convention Center. Shopping is close to the Convention Center. Restaurants and the River Walk are close to the Convention Center. Additional meeting rooms are close to the Convention Center. Even history (the Alamo) is close to the Convention Center." - Jacqui Joseph-Biddle, Convention Director, National Council of Teachers of English
