San Antonio’s central location makes it a convenient destination from both the East and West coasts, and a newly renovated international airport located only 8 miles from the central distrct of downtown makes access even easier.

By Air
San Antonio International Airport now offers non-stop service to 44 destinations, an increase of nine new destinations and 21 new flights within the last two years. Two terminals serve the public, and 12 airlines serve the airport. Additionally, Stinson Municipal Airport (smaller and private planes only) is located six miles south of downtown and only minutes away from convention facilities and San Antonio attractions.

By Car
San Antonio is conveniently located in south-central Texas, only 80 miles southwest of Austin, 200 miles west of Houston and 275 miles south of Dallas.

Getting to and from the Airport
The San Antonio International Airport is only a 15-minute ride from downtown. SuperShuttle (Shared Ride, Non-Stop Service and ExecuCar), Uber, Lyft and Taxis are all are all options for transportation to and from the airport. Several hotels also offer complimentary shuttle service from and to the airport.

Go Rio Cruises – Open-air river cruisers travel up and down the River Walk and can be rented for group transportation and dinners. Cruisers run continuously throughout the day, stopping at several locations. Ticket booths are located at the Shops at Rivercenter, across the river from the Hilton Palacio del Rio hotel, at the river level of the Aztec Theatre and on the new Museum Reach at the lock and dam.

Get from place to place using the Go Rio Shuttle, throughout the River Walk and Museum Reach. Shuttles run every 45 minutes, and you can purchase your shuttle ticket on the boat or at any Go Rio ticket booth.
